Welcome to Birch Class 2019-20 (Years 3 & 4)
Birch class takes the pupils from KS1 to KS2; it forms a transition period and prepares the children for the maturity and independence that they will need as they move into the latter years and their end of key stage 2 assessments.
The sound moral code instilled in the children early on is further consolidated . They develop their team work, leadership, social conscience and responsibility as they move into the senior part of the school where strong examples to both their piers and the younger pupils are encouraged and expected.
A broad, stimulating curriculum and engaging lessons provide the knowledge, thirst for learning and resilience needed in their futures.

Home learning whilst children are not in school
We know there is a lot on this timetable. We would rather give you plenty of ideas with how to structure your days than not give you enough. Feel free to swap any activities around and try them to the best of your ability. We know that some of these might be a bit tricky but please don’t worry, just do what you can. At least aim for some reading, writing and maths each day, whatever that may be.
You being happy and making the most of this time with your family is what is most important at this time. And if you really are stuck or you just want some advice, you can message us on Class Dojo. Send us a message and let us know how you are getting on. We would love to hear from you.
